A Personal Note…

Dear Readers,

My apologies, but there is no M.M.M. today.

Grover, my dog of nine years, passed away late last week. While he was battling an illness, nothing really prepares you for the loss of a constant friend and companion. As such, I am personally finding it difficult to say something witty on the internet at this time. I trust you understand.

Best wishes and much health,

  1. What a beautiful dog — his white paws, the grey around his nose… the smile!

I completely understand what a loss it must be, and I’m sure there aren’t many words that can provide comfort in such a situation, so I’ll just say: take care of yourself.

(I don’t think I’ve commented before, but you may recognize me from twitter. My dog is soon 8 years old. It is my firm conviction that dogs should have eternal life. Anything else is too painful for the humans.)

  2. I’m very sorry for your loss… nothing quite makes up that animal-shaped hole in your life. Be well.

  3. Thank you all for your kind words. Your support during this time is immensely helpful and I am truly grateful for it.

  4. I’m so sorry to hear about your loss, Sarah. Take the time you need and do what you need to do for you, nobody will hold that against you. If there’s anything we can do for you, please let us know.

    1. Thanks, Travis. Loosing my Bubs certainly put a few things into perspective. I appreciate your concern and support.

  5. I am very sorry for the loss of such a deep companion and source of unconditional love. I hope you are held well by family and close friends and your practices and beliefs. I am sure that with such love and care from you, Grover will find his place at the heart of all things, ready for reunion.
